Tuesday 1st December: Mild and sunny. We schooled in the morning - we did the next part of our Advent Study and some more of our Cat in the Hat project.
After lunch we were busy in the garden and I got some cooking done. We noticed the lambs seemed increasingly hungry the last couple of days and the seemed to spend more time lying around and less eating. A closer inspection of their pen revealed little left for them to eat. What is still in there isn't the grasses they eat, so we needed to sort out a new enclosure for them.
At 5 o'clock our previous neighbours, Jeanette and Allan, joined us for dinner to celebrate Allan's birthday a few days ago. We had roast chicken and all the trimmings, and iced ginger cake. It was obviously all good because there was nothing left!
After tea Allan and Jeanette helped us set up a new pen for the lambs, the other side of the farm gate. We caught the two lambs and carried them to their new home. They immediately tucked in to the grass and were munching as fast as their little mouths could manage!
The photos are of Allan with Shirley, moving house, and the lambs in their new pen.
