More drizzle

Thursday 10th December: A cool drizzly day with a dry spell late afternoon. We stayed in all day and kept the fire alight! I thought this was meant to be our summer!
We schooled in the morning and it went well again. We are enjoying our Advent preparation course, and the boys are learning to light the candles safely themselves. While they were working this morning I managed to get the last few items ready for the nativity play.
After lunch the boys played some computer games and then enjoyed making Lego models and cars.
The lambs are growing rapidly and shout loudly for their milk when they see me first thing in the morning and then anytime they see me after about 3pm. We need to reduce them to one bottle a day very soon and I reckon the noise is going to get worse. The hens are laying again and keep escaping over the farm gate and then clucking because they can't get back. The vegetable plot is starting to look good and things are slowly growing. The recent rain has helped but now they need a little more warmth to help them out.
The photos show Shirley the lamb, and the huge cabbages and tiny broccoli.
