Everyone's busy!

Friday 11th December: Grey all day. What a busy day it was today.
We started the day with piano lessons with Ruth, the last ones of the year, and due to her holiday and ours it will be 3 months until the next one. From there we popped over the road to a homeschooling family for a quick play. I ended up leaving Edward and Jonathan there while I took Peter off to the dentist. He has been having pain on and off for the past couple of months in one of his new teeth. An X-ray showed the adult teeth sitting in the gums are pressing on the nerves of his new teeth and that is what's giving the pain, so nothing to worry about there. We popped back to collect the other boys and met another homeschool family on the way and so we all went to Jennie's and the children from all 3 families played while the three mums enjoyed a cuppa and a good chat.
Home for lunch, the Mum and Dad returned from their latest travels shortly afterwards, with stories to tell of their trip through Dunedin, Invercargill, Te Anau, Milford Sound and back through central Otago to Moeraki and Oamaru.
We dashed off for a dress rehearsal of the nativity play and it was soon time to cook tea. Steve and I then got dressed up in our smart clothes and friends Guy and Kathryn collected us to go to Riverstone Kitchen for Oak House's Christmas dinner out. It was a lovely meal, punctuated by the arrival of a group of bagpipers (very loud in a room of concrete floor, high ceilings and no soft furnishings), and good company.
The photo is of the 4 shepherds in costume, three of which are ours.
