Monday 5th October: Today was cool but sunny. Steve spent the day out at the house with his friend Greg. They closed in the stable entrances ( see photo) and fitted a window so the area can be used as storage for now and a workshop for Steve later.The boys and I were schooling and covered lots in the morning. We walked down into town after lunch.
Peter got some money out of the bank to pay me for a skateboard I had bought yesterday for him. He was itching all morning to get to the bank and is desperate to try out the skateboard. We went out to the house and he set up some wooden boards down a slight slope in the top paddock to try rolling down (see photo). Edward set up a narrow board for Jonathan to ride his bike over (see photo).
The carpet fitters finished today and the end seems in sight.
