Thursday 1st October: Mild and sunny. Jonathan was unwell today and spent the morning in bed. Peter and made some sausages in the morning and Edward was moping about after his near-starvation experience from missing last night's dinner!
In the afternoon we headed out to the house and met up with the men fitting double glazing into some of the windows and the carpenter. The new piece of windowframe had been made, fitted, and the final windows installed. The carpenter and I then discussed an area of rotten wood in the floorboards of one bedroom, which he agreed to replace for us.
Back at home the boys were ready at the table before tea was served! Lesson learnt!
The photo is of Peter's cycle computer we bought him for his birthday. He is enjoying scooting round the garden and reporting his speed after every circuit!
