Friday 2nd October: A real spring day, with sun and showers. Everyone was back to full strength and we got lots of schoolwork done. The boys are finding genetic modification really interesting and have some fascinating questions to ask. While the boys were doing their maths I made some pumpkin soup and rolls for lunch.
After lunch we went out to the house again. The animals were excited to see us, as usual. The carpenter was finishing fitting window ledges and aprons and had replaced the rotten floorboards. The carpet fitters has turned up early and were measuring up and preparing the vinyl for the kitchen and dining area. So after a few hiccups the house is back on track again.
I returned home and rang the kitchen fitters, who said the replacement workbench would be fitted next Wednesday morning.
Dinner was our home-made sausages and pumpkin and ginger muffins. Peter then asked for a banana and found a huge one on the fruit bowl. He decided to have some fun with it before eating it, and we photographed his ideas. What do you think he is doing???
