Monday 7th September: Dry and mild, sunny at times. We decided to have a school trip today so we went skiing at Roundhill. On the trip was the teacher, the three pupils and a parent helper.
Time from keys to skis was two hours and the ski conditions were perfect. There had been 25cm of fresh snow during the week and it had been well-groomed. We all enjoyed a few hours of great skiing. There was another school on a trip there but hardly anyone else so we didn't queue at all for the lifts.
We arrived home at 520pm. Steve took Peter and Jonathan flying for half an hour while I walked Edward to Cubs. We had tea and Steve put the boys to bed while I went back to collect Edward.
In the evening Steve and I watched the film 'United 93' on the tv and ate a packet of McVities Milk Chocolate Homewheat biscuits we had found in a shop in Timaru last week.
The photos are of the boys larking about at the skifield and one of the views from the car park.
