Wild and windy

Tuesday 4th August: Today was dry to start so I did lots of washing and got in on the line, including two big curtains from the new house. The boys did lots of school work and then we went out to the house. The goat, ewe and lamb have got used to us appearing with a bucket with food scraps in and now come to the fence when they see us drive in, and follow us (or the bucket) around until it is emptied.
We met the decorator again plus a second heating person, and I managed to get some wallpaper stripping done too. The boys were busy moving more pieces of wood and then rummaged around in one of the garages. Dark clouds came over and a strong wind built up and loose things started flying around the garden.
We drove back to town and got some shopping, and while we were in the supermarket it started raining as well and the strong winds continuing. We got home to find the washing wet and the curtains fallen into the muddy grass!
Tea was a Thai curry and Anzac pudding, then Steve went to Timaru for a peer review meeting. The boys and I watched the movie "Space Chimps" we rented from the video store earlier as a reward for the good work the boys have put in so far this week. and I wrote up the minutes of the recent gym club meeting.
The photo is of the train track the boys put together in their bedroom while I was cooking tea.
