Sunday 9th August: Today began frosty again but turned into another warm, calm and sunny day. We were out at the house by 9am to meet Gordon the electrician for another day working there. I took the boys to Sunday School from 10 to 11 then we returned to the house. I had cooked another crock-pot full of chilli which was lucky because suddenly there were 11 for lunch! Gordon's family joined us - Sharon got busy helping strip paper and the children played happily with ours. Plus Steve's boss Barney came along and soon got busy.
By the end of the day we started to feel that we were now getting somewhere. We also had a guy come round who can put up the new wallboards we need and can get on with it in the next week so that was good news too.
We returned home for sardines on toast and more chocolate/coffee cake for tea, then Steve gave the boys a much-needed bath and hairwash while I returned to the house and did another couple of hours stripping paper. I'll soon have either bulging shoulder muscles OR a big physio bill to fix a wonky neck!
The photo is of the main bedroom - just a lick of paint and we can move in!
