Everything's game here!

Wednesday 5th August: A mild start to the day but a southerly wind later brought a chill to the air. We did some more schooling in the morning. Both Edward and Peter are about to finish their maths textbooks and are very excited. They started these books in January and they should take a whole year so they've done really well to get through them this quickly. We did some more of our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory workbook and some more practice counting in French.
After lunch we headed out to the house again and met with a double glazing man, who originally came from Southampton! I stripped yet more wallpaper and the boys enjoyed playing in the sandpit.
We returned to town in time for Keas and while Peter and Jonathan were busy there Edward and I went to the library, returned the DVD to the rental store, paid some money into the bank and visited the solicitor. At the solicitors Edward spotted a 'Brainbox Electronics Set' for sale as part of a book club selection, so we popped back to the bank to get money out to buy it for him. He was sooo excited with it!
After Keas we had chicken casserole for tea followed by banana and choclate chip muffins. I put the boys to bed and then went out to a Playcentre meeting.
The photo is of an article in today's free paper. Hunting is a big thing here and there are often categories for children too. We giggled at the idea of raffling off a rifle! And I guess it wouldn't be wise to go walking in the bush that weekend!!!
