Introducing Waimate

Friday 6th November: Mild and sunny. This morning the boys and I did our schooling while Mum and Dad did some jobs for me in the garden.
After lunch we dropped Edward into Ruth the piano teacher's house for him to do some extra practice, and drove to the other end of town to the library. We walked up one side of the street and showed Mum and Dad what was there, then collected Edward and walked back down the other side of the road. It doesn't take long to see everything in the main street of Waimate but we did decide to pop into the Rainbow Cafe for a drink and cake. Next we went to the library and chose some books, then home to make a chicken and bacon pie for tea.
After the boys were in bed I went out to get the boys' homeschool papers signed by a friendly Justice of the Peace and stayed for a chat and to help his wife with something she was finding difficult in her homework from a computer course.
I forgot to take my camera with me today, but hope Dad might let me upload one of his sometime soon.
