Thursday 2nd July: Happy birthday Jessie. Six today. Peter hopes you have a lovely day.
Today's weather forecast was "It will be fine other than the persistent fog and the rain coming in later". What's "fine" about that? But it was accurate!
Thursday is always a busy day for us but today was even busier than usual. First we went to Playcentre and the boys had great fun playing and creating, then we drove down to Oamaru (eating lunch in the car on the way) for their swimming lessons. They are doing really well with their lessons this term. From there we drove up into the fog above Oamaru to get new back tyres fitted on the truck, then scooted back to Waimate in the rain that had now started.
We delivered our entries for the Waimate Winter Show and wandered round looking at the canaries, chickens and ducks that were being delivered for the other half of the show. Home at 4.45pm.
By the time tea was served I had no energy or inclination for TKD so stayed home and caught up with the blog and, for the first time in about 3 weeks, didn't do any knitting or crocheting!
The photos are the outside and inside of the Waitaki Aquatic Centre in Oamaru where the boys have their swimming lessons.
